Our Feminism for Change campaign got off to a flying start with a concert staged in the beautiful, candle-lit setting of Shoreditch Church on Valentine's Day.

An all-female choir gave an incredible performance to a sold-out crowd at an event that brought in £2625 towards our campaign to raise funds for our groundbreaking programme.

Driven by the simple desire to bring music back to just a few basic elements - raw female voices, and drums to accompanying their intricate interplay of melody and harmony - Deep Throat Choir have been performing at a range of venues and festivals on the indie circuit over the past few years.

After the performance, concert-goers, staff, a small army of volunteers and former graduates mingled with the choir over cocktails (alcoholic and non-alcoholic!) generously donated by Heads, Hearts and Tails.

We couldn't think of a better act to help us raise the voices of some of the amazing women we've worked with. We want to make sure our feminism course gets the attention it deserves and the money it needs to stay free and reach even more women.
