UPDATE: Tickets for Ebb and Flood, our third fundraiser event, completely sold out in advance of the performance, raising over £3700! Thank you to all those who helped organise.

We're gearing up preparations for Ebb and Flood – an exciting performance of dance, music and poetry inspired by and in support of our approach at Foundation for Change.

The theme for this site-specific performance staged in the vaulting nave of St. Leonard's Church, is resilience. It’s something we see all the time in our trainees – a quality we encourage them to embrace as they go about making changes to live their lives.

We work with people who’ve often been written off by society, who’ve experienced multiple disadvantages, but who have the desire and, we believe, the potential to transform themselves and their lives.

Artist and choreographer, Maika Klaukien, says:

Reslience is an ability to live with the waves and ride them…an explosive power and strength, harnessed to ceaseless motion. The theme speaks to life itself, a way to live in our time. Every action is met by an equal and opposite reaction. Each event generates an even stronger backlash. Turns in unexpected and different directions cascade and ricochet, pulled and pushed by random elasticity. All around is surprise, unpredictability, shock.

The event will feature performances from a range of artists who have collaborated to develop this one-off event hosted in the beautiful space at St. Leonard’s Church, Shoreditch High Street, E1 6JN on Saturday 25th November, 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced £15 (£7 concessions), with donations going to Foundation for Change.

A bar and complementary canapes will be available afterwards, along with an opportunity to meet those involved with our work and all of the performers.

Doors open at 6.45pm.

We hope to see you there!
