Our Courses Ways to refer Due to the demand for our courses, and current limitations on our funding resources to meet this, we need to adjust the way we accept new referrals. Essentially, this means that we will open to new referrals at two-month intervals throughout the year; *January, March, May, July, September and November.* This is an approach we have trialled and is one that has allowed us to ensure we can continue to offer a high standard of support to people already waiting for our courses, whilst also opening to new referrals and managing our capacity in a safe and considered way. HOW CAN SOMEONE ACCESS THE REFERRAL PROCESS? For those who are interested in our courses, or are supporting someone who is, you are welcome to make a self or third-party referral at any time during the year. The only difference will be the length of time someone might wait to hear from us. The easiest way to get in touch with us is by completing one of our online forms below: To refer yourself, please complete the online referral form by clicking here To refer someone else, please complete the professional's online referral form by clicking here We will then be in touch at one of our two-month intervals mentioned above, to let you know if we are able to accept any new referrals, and to see if you would like to start the full referral process, described below. Please ensure you read who our courses are for before making a referral of any kind. "I like that it is based on self-referral, which encourages self-determination, and I very much appreciated the gentleness and humanity in it, as well as promises and commitments being kept." - Layla WHAT CAN SOMEONE EXPECT AFTER THEY REFER? Once we receive someone’s referral, we contact the person directly within 5-10 days, to arrange an initial telephone call. The initial telephone call can take up to 40 minutes and is about getting to know a bit more about someone, and for them to get to know more about us and what we do. After we have spoken over the phone, we will then arrange a 1-hour in-person consultation where we explore the course content in more detail, including how this might connect to someone's experiences in life, and what they want to challenge and change for themselves going forward. Based on our referral criteria and a knowledge of what our courses require, we will let someone know if and when our courses might be right for them. This decision will always be made in discussion with each person. At every step of the way we emphasise choice, agency and respect to each person, ensuring that their own and others people’s safety and needs are centred throughout. "It was a humanising experience - not once did I feel belittled or have my prior active addiction weaponised as a reason to join (which previous treatment experiences have done)." - Samir Learn more about our courses.
