2017 is just flying by, we still can’t quite believe how much we’ve crammed in!

May 2017 marks our third birthday. So it seems appropriate that our work this year reflects a growing sense of confidence, openness, curiosity and independence.

Celebrating success

We got off to a running start thanks to the incredible response we received to our crowdfunder. Launched at our first ever fundraising concert, we raised over £14,000.

Our first Psychology for Change and Knowledge for Change courses for 2017 have whistled by already and both achieved 100% completion rate for participants.

We’re really proud of these figures. And for our trainees, who willingly embraced all the challenges 8 – 10 weeks of psychological theory, group process work and personal reflection that Bob, Liz and Laura’s training threw at them!

Here’s how some of them summed up PfC in three words at the end of the course:

We’ve already started our second KFC course for the year and will soon be recruiting for an intake of PfC trainees at the start of June.

New horizons

In the meantime we are incredibly excited to have begun piloting a Feminism for Change course. The work has been funded by the Big Lottery. Liz, Laura and Katie will be designing, delivering and developing two courses this year with the help of participants.

Behind the scenes, we have been busy developing our longer term organisational strategy with a team of experts from Beyond Me

We’ve also been collaborating with a researcher from City University. She is looking at the unique way in which we work with individuals to help them transform their lives, relationships and the wider world through education.

Thank you

We couldn’t do it without generous and committed supporters behind us. So, a huge thank you to all of you. It’s astonishing how such a small team of us here in the office have been able to pull together over the last year with your support!
